This is a non spoiler review for AC IV Black Flag....this game actually had my interest for a while now and frankly it didn't disappoint. I had many high hopes for this game and its story and background that when I first played it I was overwhelmed by the massive and new world that a gamer like me could experience and have fun with. This game started out very interesting as a pirate who is obsessed with greed and has a tragic background with the love of his life leaving him and all. I admit the controls were a bit different so I had to get used to it a little bit but the game doesn't have that large of a learning curve than most people might think....but I never said it has a small one either. any way we will get into that later in the review. So it started out very great but later started to bore me I admit there were some parts where It felt really well designed and fit into the story and very epic texture that is added to some moments....but...there are other moments where I had to pinch myself to stay awake. To me that's very hard to admit because I LOVE AC franchise i have played every AC game besides Assassins Creed II and Assassins Creed. I wanted this game to have a very epic character that someone could feel bad for...but his back story may have been interesting from a regular persons point of view who doesn't have much experience with the franchise but from me i was expecting a lot more than what I got. The other thing is the whole ship thing and traveling has a pretty high learning curve, that some people might get annoyed with in some missions because it requires you to waste tons of money on upgrading it before the most absurd difficulty it gives you in missions on water, but hey if i can do it you can do it so don't worry as much about that than you should. Other than that the weapons and crafting in this game is fantastic I loved stopping in the middle of the ocean to hunt a shark and collect its skin.....that was a lot of the fun I had in this game pretty sad to admit. The story I have to say is very wonderful and compelling but not for an Assassins Creed game. I was so Utterly pissed that for the majority of the game you're not even an assassin, and then at the end of the game you finally become and assassin but then you have about 3 missions left until the story is over. Now that was something that disappointed me the most about this game...I was hoping for more of those epic feels I got when I first played AC Revelations (ya you know what I'm talking about, the opening scene to the Game). Also I hated that they give you the rope dart at the very end of the game than earlier.....WHAT THE HELL...I could have really used this in some of the earlier missions of the game, and then you have 3 missions left until the game is OVER. Now for my Final Verdict I give this game a Solid 7/10. Out of this review I recommend this game to anyone who might be interested......still disappointed that It couldn't and wasn't the AC game I was hoping for but It turned out.....ok.....just ok and that's not such a bad thing!
